USA: Inter-Faith Dialogues / Social Harmony Program

We promote domestic peacebuilding and social harmony here in the United States through our Inter-Faith Dialogues program.

Using a model currently underway in central Minnesota, we support ‘Circle of Understanding’ meetings and forums.  These consist of diverse groups of people from different faiths and denominations in shared mutual dialogues about their perceptions of the ‘other’.

In promoting the fostering of healthy relationships and peaceful coexistence, we aim to reduce misconceptions and potential discord among populations.

These Forums aim to embrace social diversity in our national community.  They explore perspectives of local people, both the recent arriving immigrants and refugees and their host communities.  Such interactions are supported in order to pursue greater mutual understanding, empathy, peace and harmony.  And to build stronger social relationships nationwide.
