Point-source contamination in Lake Titicaca - Interactive Virtual Map

To document and disseminate information on point-source contamination in Lake Titicaca, the Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy’s Climate Change and Human Security team has built the following interactive virtual map. Pollution is both a global and local problem, and just as contaminants seep into the world’s water and soil, they poison communities and social institutions. Cataloging pollution hazards is one step towards restoration.

Click Icons on the map to expand details about each location, including forms of contamination and institutions present there. This map is a work in progress, please bear with us while we continue to add data and polish appearances.
