IMTD To Advance Conflict Analysis and Resolution (CAR) Education Globally Beginning Fall Semester 2016
by Adam Zemans , Executive Director, IMTD
The Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy (IMTD) will launch a Conflict Analysis and Resolution (CAR) higher education advancement program in the Fall of 2016. The IMTD program will recruit student interns/project officers from around the world to advance transdisciplinary, praxis-based CAR higher education.
Children Peace Initiative –Kenya Project
In the spring of 2016, IMTD began a partnership with a small NGO, Children's Peace Initiative, Kenya (CPIK). It was the first “client” of the John W. McDonald Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Clinic. CPIK educates and empowers children to become life-long peaceful problem solvers within conflict-affected communities; it provides them with conflict resolution tools, guides them in building friendships across ethnic divides, and helps them to develop strong leadership skills.
